Public transport

Adelaide is home to an efficient, citywide transport network, including free tram and bus travel within the City Centre

Catch a train into the city and it is just a short walk over to Parliament House from the Adelaide Railway Station.

You can travel on the tram in the city centre free of charge from the South Terrace stop, to, and along North Terrace. The closest tram stop to Parliament House is located on North Terrace,  right in front of the historic Adelaide Railway Station.

Adelaide’s Free City bus service is a complimentary service for people who want to get around the city quickly, and stops right near Parliament House (routes 98A, 98C).

You’ll find timetables, fares and service information on the  Adelaide Metro website or MetroMATE app.
